We are now seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join this leading refinery's engineering Department.

As Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for managing the maintenance programme for the Refinery's many key items of rotating equipment. Direct accountabilities will include day-to-day management of a team responsible for maintenance, upgrades and condition monitoring of hydrocarbon pumps and compressors as well as steam and gas turbines.

The job scope will include troubleshooting, the specification and selection of modification works, as well as the preparation of specifications for major overhauls and provision of technical support on a wide range of rotating equipment. You will ensure maintenance and repair work for both reciprocating and centrifugal machines is carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures and engineering standards. You will also participate in the reliability programme, helping to implement technical solutions to ensure the highest levels of plant performance in the long-term.

The successful candidate will be safety focused and commercially aware, with a strong mechanical engineering background, preferably Chartered and educated to degree level. You should possess an appropriate maintenance track record as well as demonstrable relevant experience within an oil and gas or petrochemical plant environment.
